Bon Odori 2006

This year's Bon Odori was the 30th.Held at the same place, I joined as a helper. My job was to distribute the uchiwa (Japanese fan) to other people. The event started at 7.00p.m.But I already there at 5.00pm.We were given a Bon Odori T-shirt, orange and simple. I didn’t even know the meaning of kanji at the t-shirt. Distributing uchiwa was easy task but some people demand other pattern of uchiwa. Our senseis were also come, wearing beautiful and colorful kimono. Luckily borrowed a happi from my senior and I need to dress up before 7.pm.

Now it's time to dance! There were much type of dances that they perform but the most interesting part was Tokyo Ondo. Guided by the drum beat, we danced together. Some of them are already expert at dancing and that amazed me. I decided to buy drinks but I changed my mind when I found that the price of a can of soft drink is RM3.Japanese ABC attracted me but there were too many people queuing to buy the unique dessert. Finally I just bought a RM1 KING ice-cream. Some of my friends were happy dancing especially with the girls. Although I was so exhausted, but Bon Odori wa tanoshikatta yo!
